Area based overlays aren't supported yet. For now, overlays apply to the whole map in all cases.
 that's a pain (and how is it you always bring me bad news?)

Any progress on finishing the sets?

I'd like to put the stone bridge in the ground set.

It would seem that Aethyra has realized that the tileset is in a usable state before we did

Hopeful competition will drive innovation (and someone might get to mapping)

The Aethyra guys grab everything posted here - no matter if it is finished or not.
  • former Manasource Programmer
  • former TMW Pixel artist
  • NOT a game master

Please do not send me any inquiries regarding player accounts on TMW.

You might have heard a certain rumor about me. This rumor is completely false. You might also have heard the other rumor about me. This rumor is 100% accurate.

This is great art, and I'm trying to map with it.

It looks as if characters should be able to walk over the roots. But as an x8 tileset:
If it's on the fringe or higher, the roots are drawn over the character.
If it's below the fringe, characters walking north of the tree are drawn over it.

BTW, is it available as a layered image please? I'd like to experiment with putting shadows on higher map layers than the tree itself.
Retired from TMW; incomplete projects looking for a dev:

The roots could be made as a separate object that is pass over and the trunk pass under/impassable. Easy to do :P
