The knife makes me think "Seinfeld" Soup Nazi.
Other then that I'm indifferent to whether he holds a knife or a spoon.

It's actually pretty common to be covered with blood (and sometimes fish guts) when you're working on or near the production line... I'll tell you -- a full-sized sea bass has a lot of blood left in it even after it's been gutted... I should upload a pic from when I was working on one of those... lol.
Well, maybe for ametuer chef. My grandma gutted fish alive (after stunning them of course) without a taint of blood anywhere but the sink, the same with slaying chicken since chicken's blood is the most valuable.
I'm half tempted to take offense to that but I'll assume you're teasing me. Regardless, most of the mess came from some of my... less skilled... class mates. As far as the chicken's blood, I still can't get past the idea of eating a liver let alone using its blood...

I think this is about as far off topic as I'm going to take it... :)

You bet. Just wait until you see brain, lung, intestine, and tongue of pigs served as food >_<. I don't mind blood (you get to see blood all the time from bleeding anyway), but internal organ soo similar to human creeps me out. And I used to see surgery video during dinner time!

Which one do you like more? Left, Right, or a previous one?

Ah good, the knife really pops out against the dark pants. I was squinting to make out the details on it before. Definitely the left of the two new stances is the best.

That said, I know you're skilled enough to make that knife look less jagged/pixelated.

I also tried to anti alias his left arm (the one holding the knive), but I don't like it how it turned out, does any have advice / examples how it can be done better?

I gave it a shot. I lightened the border on the arm some and used 5 semi-transparent pixels.

Your knife looks MUCH better btw. Great work!

Yes this looks much nicer! Makes him look less threatening, and adds some contrast so the knife is viewed better! Good job. :)

What about a meat cleaver instead of a knife?
