In order to complete a map, I ask pixel artist to complete some tiles on fallen stones.

It'd be nice if you also:

1) Gave a link to the mapping thread where this arose.
2) Stated to which tileset is in question or do you want a new one.
3) Described a bit in detail about what you are trying to achieve.

Sorry. I was working on:

The tileset is obviously the cave one: I need some stones which have digged the terrain.

I derivate from Forest tileset a rock for giving an idea:

I actually do not like this tileset at all.

- There is no way you can use the lava
- You can still find some purple on the tileset
- It looks like its blowed up and then blurred to make it seems like it isn't blowed up.
- The water is totally different from the other water

So instead of improving this tileset, what about a NEW tileset?

Those decision must be taken by pixel artists. I only tried a work for the current (usable) set.

That's a good start. Form the pile of stones looks a little bit 'thin'. Anyway, it's a good point. Thanks for your work, Crush

The wall style of the walls is kind of nice for something manmade. This can of course be revised and nitpicked over time towards perfection.

More importantly, yes: We need a tileset for natural caves. Just go through Final Fantasy 6 tilesets and map designs a lot before starting the tileset. Start a topic and someone post it on Mantis too on it once you start the process. (Start the design process by a list of tiles required. Mappers should be active in this process too.)

Here is the tileset with the new tiles in case someone wants to experiment with it:

(Note to mappers: Do not use it for productive mapping yet because the tile organisation might change)

It can be a kind of improvement.
