With a bit of help from me, Katze drew the following cat NPC:
Does it look good as is, or would you change something about it? We plan it to be part of a small content update next weekend.

The newer version you posted on IRC looks great.

It seems flat as a cardboard cutout to me somehow. It doesn't relay the shape properly via shading.

The cat now looks as follows:
We tried it out in the game and I think the shading is alright. Note that the forum is really light, so it makes the shading on the cat less noticable. We tweaked the brightness and contrast to be in line with the existing NPCs. When placed in TMW, the cat seems to me more shaded that its surroundings:
Of course, I agree there is a general lack of shading.
