Artist galleries

I have set up a gallery script on our website for viewing the art in the archive:

http://themanaworld.org/archive/galerie.php

It would be nice if the artists started to use this archive to post their art so that everything sticks together in an organized manner and is conveniently browsable. If you are part of our registered team at SourceForge, you can upload your art to our webspace using sftp or WinSCP and the like. If you are a contributing artist that is not part of the team yet, set up a SourceForge account and let me or ElvenProgrammer know your username.

Good idea.
Should I post again my drawings?

Also, there is a problem in one of the galleries:

Pajarico, are all your drawings in this thread? If so I could upload them into the gallery for you. Still it would be nice if you could upload new works there yourself too.

I knew about the permission problem but I couldn't fix it because the files were owned by maci. maci fixed it now.

Yes, everything is in there.

Do you mean to that thread or to the gallery?

I don't know if you mean to imply you're kidding me with your winking, but I meant to the gallery. Of course if you've done new work it would still be nice to link to it from the forums, if you like the thumbnails of what you're using now you could still post them there too, but you could also link with the thumbnails generated for the gallery.

I'm not being ironic, the wink is more like a greet.

I don't have a problem using the forums or the gallery, if you feel that i should upload my own work there tell me how to do it.

I see, funny way of greeting.

To upload your work there you'd use scp or sftp, which allow you to copy files over a secure ssh connection. I see you're already a member of the SF team, so you have write access to the archive. If you use Windows then probably WinSCP is a nice program to use.

You login to shell.sf.net using your account name pajarico. Then you browse to:

/home/groups/t/th/themanaworld/htdocs/archive/pajarico

That's where you'll find the currently uploaded files and also where you can try to place new files.

Btw there seemed to be a problem with your PNG files and I converted them all to TGA and back to PNG to solve it. I noticed your PNG files were saved with progressive loading turned on (not sure how it's called exactly), but that may be causing problems. Another thing, for concept drawings probably JPG would be a better format as it's immensely smaller when you don't need pixel-level details.

I looked in Gimp and there is no such option. I've only turned on:
- Save resolution.
- Save creation time.
- Compression level; 9
I've interlacing disabled. Maybe that's the problem?

Bjørn i'm trying to stablish a scp connection. It gets to connect to the server and asks me for the username and password.
Recognizes my nick but my password says it's incorrect.
I'm using the same password of my SF account.

Hmm maybe it's some other problem then, I don't know. We'll see if it turns up again.

It seems somebody has become more strict on the permissions and shell access was disabled for a lot of people. I've enabled it for you so maybe now it'll work.
