[REQ] Fruits / vegetables / etc.
Re: [REQ] Fruits / vegetables / etc.
The broccoli is really nice, but the other ones could use a little more thought put into their design.

hmm i think the cuke is not so good but what is with the potato and the aubergine ?Rotonen wrote:The broccoli is really nice, but the other ones could use a little more thought put into their design.

Ok, the "aubergine" (zucchini?) actually looks decent enough.
The outline shape of the potato is somehow making the shape and form of it undefinable to my eye.

Re: [REQ] Fruits / vegetables / etc.
The eggplant (= aubergine) looks a bit like a purple banana. It's too thin at the end.

after 30 items now you say "a and dont forget to make AA......"
ähm why you say it from the beginning and btw i must make it per hand that cost me weeks of work.......
Re: [REQ] Fruits / vegetables / etc.
dont you have a brush to blur things a bit?
Re: [REQ] Fruits / vegetables / etc.
Sorry but AA Potatos looks like Chocolate Cupcake with hair.........
Re: [REQ] Fruits / vegetables / etc.
Looking at the jpg file of what you call an Aubergine, that is called an Eggplant in the US. I found both words used in Wikipedia search for Eggplant. Your artwork for the Aubergine needs to be a bit more bulbous at the end and less curved.
The potato looks more like a peanut in a shell using AA.

It has to be done by hand anyway. Also note that it should only be done when it needs it. The brocolli for example does not need it. The potato and the aubergine on the other hand does. And you are right, I should have said it a bit sooner. It shouldn't be that much work though.
On a side note: don't use a brush to blur things a bit <_<
Example (notice how I suck at AA):

And what Tranzparent value must i make ?
Re: [REQ] Fruits / vegetables / etc.
You have to get a bit of feeling when and where it is needed. It's hard to explain xD.
Most of the time when there is something like (X is the outline):
or longer like
etc
I put a pixel next to it with an alpha value of 127.
Like this
Where X is the line, and A is the pixel with alpha value of 127.
Most of the time when there is something like (X is the outline):
Code: Select all
XX
XX
Code: Select all
XXXXX
XXXXXX

Like this
Code: Select all
XXA
