Do more proof-of-concept animation work before going into finishing the details first. You'll save yourself a lot of redoing that way. Outlines and animation first, fill in details later.

jumpy you can not get into trouble for copyrights even if the image looks exactly like the other as long as you created it with out the other as a reference of anyway (not knowing it existed) and as long as the shape is and such is completely different im sure there is no issue here. but if remaking something with an image as a reference remember not one pixel should be the same as the original.

Here goes my first attempt at leg animation. They seem to work, I think.

He's a little jerky still. I wanted to know what is a good speed, this one is at 150 milliseconds. Also any suggestions on if the legs look okay with the top of the body. I think the top of the body is my main problem and I'm going to redo it shortly.

Do you really want it to have such a cute facial expression? I liked the sullen look of the eyes from this picture much better:

Less cute eyes. I'll keep working on them. More alien or more evil?

Sorry, after looking at evileye2, I wanted to highlight it a little more so it could be seen a little better.

Here goes my current walking forward animation. I'll take Rotonen's advice and focus on the animation first, then clean up on the details after I have established how it moves.

looking good keep it up :) also the bottom cafe of the monster could use maybe bendinf forword more (give him more kick it will make it look smoother)// not assuming you have not thought of that already just laying the idea there if you feal like it. but the limping looks nice as well.

With the level of movement with the rest of the body, the static torso really pops out.

I hope you're working in layers since then the fix is easy: just move the torso to it's own layer and have it move there. Slightly tweak a few frames of it if necessary.

maybe were is rib lines stop have it extend by a pixle or to to simulate breathing? this should fix the issue with the torso. Also what ever other changes you feal are nessisary if you have plans and ideas for it already please continue to do those first but refure back to this afterwords if you do.
