this can also be slowed down but would make the file annoyingly large in size

We can't yet do random waits in animation files. It would be a nice feature, though.

maybe not so random as a set path? one starts at like 10 sec than it blinks than the next 3 than 10 again and than set it to repeat.

Just beautiful!!! Nice blinking. You've got the right idea. "Random" blinking is far more convincing that steady, even and perfect blinking.

I know that tilting the axehead is not gonna be easy. But I believe it is 9/10ths of what people are looking for.

:D

Meway? Can you post a clip with the revised Jack Lumber on the tile set where he stands currently? I want to see how well he stands out in the environment.

Blinking not necessary: just a static shot.

tks

I never noticed Jack's receding hairline...

I like new Jack in almost every possible way! Put him in!

My only beef with new Jack is still his sagging arm. Looks like a deformity...

Also there is a contrast in brightness between the two Jacks. Is this because of the 'particle overlay' or whatever (the cloud shadows) or is new jack just brighter (I see different shadows on the buildings in each picture)? If so, I'd like to see him next to a player character to compare. Maybe if he is a lot brighter it might still be a good thing, NPCs should stand out.

Meway, I didn't know you were so good with sprites. Why aren't you redoing ones that are from the wrong set? Those chubby-baby NPCs (as I like to call them).

it was the cloud but indeed he is brighter than the old jack and his axe could be brightened a bit if you ask myself lol

Such as Neko in Tulimshar?

The only thing I can say in 'favor' of these chubby-baby NPCs is that they are easily distinguished from real players.

However, they do reflect art from an earlier time period. They could stand replacement.

@meway:

Kudos on the latest Jack Lumber. I think you nailed the graphical problems with that character.

What do you say to looking at characters like Vincent, Sandra, Neko.... etc.

I'm sure you'd do as good a job.

Already was working on neko but i most likely will replace his body and keep his style. So he fits in maybe something little that you can distinguish him as a npc and not a charicter would be soon to come items we could put that clover neckless of faiths on him. Also i check the game each day and still no new jack added :(
