A wind monster is indeed a hard challenge. How do you display something like moving air which is invisible, after all?

Maybe you should rather go for the "living cloud" approach.

by drawing white ribbons of air with transparency? :) It should be like wind, we do not see it, but we see objects moving around - by objects i mean leafs, sand, etc. It could be tornado, but mostly drawn with white and light-gray colors.

I think a combination of wind and cloud is what would look best like something like this.

I should try animating it on a grass background, plus the conversion an animated gif is dropping a lot of the alpha I have on it.

Don,

it's a little hard to judge on that background, but in principle this should work very well. :-) (Plus, you only need one movement animation and one attack animation.)

I quite like it, but it's not very dynamic below the top.
Also, I think those "spinning blobs" should be a little smaller.
