Woodland - new tree color correction

Post by Crush »

I tweaked the colors of the Woodland_x5 tileset so that the trees don't stand out that much when next to those from the _x3 tileset.

These new trees looks like coniferous tree there for i think we shouldnt mix them with the other deciduous tree.We should make a forest with only the new trees.

the top of this tree is to hard to see because of the grass. I think it would be better to make it less saturated.

Deciduous and coniferous mix all the time.

I still think the deciduous trees look out of place with the rest of the woodland tileset.

It has been said on numerous occasions that it doesn't have to conform to real life. This is a game after all.

For me, what makes them stand out is the blurriness rather than the colour. IMO it would be better to start with the sharp (but differently sized) version from http://forums.themanaworld.org/viewtopi ... 760#p36760

They are of different styles, so it wouldn't work. If you want more trees, I can make more.

Over the whole game, a few varying styles doesn't really matter. However, within a single map (and certainly in one tileset) the styles should be indistinguishable.

For the game as is now, the new trees will do (I suppose) but I hope that for TMWserv there will be better.

Anyway, if these coniferous trees are to be used, there needs to be another one made (if there isn't one) which is just one tree, without the smaller tree beside.

Also, on the side, the orange tree needs a touchup. It has sharp bits randomly.
