Re: tv hat
Hello
I've checked your hats, sorry to tell you but is lack of almost everything at this point and I want to suggest to read some Graphics Guidelines first :
http://wiki.themanaworld.org/index.php/ ... Guidelines
Also this nice tutorial linked by Sedarest:
http://www.pixeljoint.com/forum/forum_p ... p?TID=5692
It will help you to start better.
Now my advised over the hat :
1. Perspective (45o from top), is wrong in your hat, looks from the front view
2. Light (from over your left shoulder), there is no specific light direction on your hat
2. AA (also avoid pillow effect), the AA is over done, the hat look blurry
3. Palette Selection (some colors cannot match with others), you have only 2 color or so on your hat, it looks flat, try adding darker colors
3. Color Ramp (transition from dark to shine) also provide a sense of deepness (same as previous)
but my best advise is :
Practice, practice and practice again
only repeating you will be able to master the Pixelart.
I recommend stop this hat for a moment and take the time to read the guidelines and tutorials, then try again.
Good luck

Re: tv hat
To be honest with you, I don't like the idea of Pixelart aspirants doing hats, there is plenty of hats already on game, from iron helmets to pans, and is a very limited way to learn pixel art, I would rather see people trying to do bushes, barrels, baskets, walls, signs, roads, rocks, monsters but no hats.styler wrote:ok thkas i will do it^^

Re: tv hat
No, they are from "Secret of Mana". Turmfalke already wrote that.Wombat wrote:Looks like Chrono Trigger images.
Re: tv hat
You are right, they are in SoM.
This is Chrono Trigger
Anyways, most square enix games blend some sci fi elements into their fantasy. The backstory could have some hints to an Apocalypse that began the "age of mana" or something, which would leave some advanced technology that could mix with the fantasy of the world. Building towns with television stations and towers could be one way. Making television more about playing (ancient?) video discs could be another.

Current character is "Abolish".
Re: tv hat
Science fiction elements don't fit into TMW, in my opinion.
But did I mention that I would really like to see a science fiction game based on the mana engine? When there would be such a project I would really like to take part in it.

Please do not send me any inquiries regarding player accounts on TMW.
You might have heard a certain rumor about me. This rumor is completely false. You might also have heard the other rumor about me. This rumor is 100% accurate.
