Very very nice :)

There is small wings miss placement (because of a bit different tiles layout)

And remember! Tiles layout matters!

I changed blue square for two crossed lines - because some of players may disable particle emitters at all, and blue spot looks odd then.

Now IMO windmill tower is finished. It's a very nice building.

Congratulations.

Of course you may. As Crush suggested that would be nice if you would continue working on similar areas. That would be safe option to ensure style consistency.
Possibilities are almost infinite: houses, barns, sheds...

EDIT: Maybe you will find it inspiring

This windmill is most likely my favorite piece of art we have...

@Ivan:
I hope you plan on sticking around for awhile, with this quality of work you'll easily make dev status quickly, also, I am pretty sure we can get this into CR1 if we have some matching buildings to go along with it.

I'm sorry for asking here but in regards to the windmill (pm me please or post here is fine) how dose the particle engine work vrs just an animated tile to turn into complete transparent at a set time?

the particle engine basically generates a object on the map, unlike tiles it can be any size, and it can even change location (though in the case with the windmill it stays still).

If anyone notices I placed the particle at the base of the windmill. This is because particles have a z axis (meaning they are 3D). And the particle is actually 160 pixels up into the air. I did this because particles are drawn on the sprite layer (or fringe) and if I had simply placed the particle where it stands it would display behind the windmill.

As far as how to create a particle like this.. I have attached the image the particle uses to create the animation.

first of all, great work!!!

just one little comment: i think the wings need to be recolored to match the wood of the roof.
This is not a placeholder

So you suggest that there is only ONE kind of wood?

Hmmm lets see:

OMG they have different colors!

actually, there is a logical reason behind making the wings a different color.

Its possible that the builders used a lighter wood (less weight) and/or a stronger wood (more durable) in the construction of the wings

This is so the wings can turn faster and/or last longer under the stress

I'm fairly sure that's meant to read as `sand' :)
