Very nice. The stuff you're making looks great. :D

Basically, all I can say at the moment is, more variants to keep things from repeating. Aside from the little glow/outline around the dead tree (which I'm guessing is a temporary thing), I really don't have any other criticisms.

That is very cool! 8)
But that tree on the rock sticks out so much it looks like it has an aura around it like Talaroc said.

that big rock formation wasn't such a big deal. he just copy&pasted all the stones he already got a few times.

but the stones for themself are all very good.

That river beginning/end (you never know..) is definitely going into the game as is.

Yes that big one with the tree is definately great 8)

I already see my character go into that hole undergrund...
Could be a great dungeon entrance I think.
You could even use the tree as a guardian or haunted/special tree
(because of the glow  )

Keep up good work!

...astounding.

Perhaps... the tree has an aura that needs fixed. <sarcasm> Maybe that fits into the game somewhere but i haven't come across that part yet. </sarcasm>
Really though, it looks great.

Once you have the dry riverbed, you ought to make another set with water in it.

Then you could create a set of maps which you would alternate for a wet/dry season.

Maybe have some dungeons that are only available in one or the other season.

Well yeah, the more I look at the tree the more i feel that something is not right about it. (Kinda too flat, isn't it?)

It's the aura. The halo of lighter pixels around the tree to make it stand out. Try making the tree itself brighter or more saturated to stand out instead of outlining it.

Not more saturated. I really don't understand people's fascination with incredibly high-saturation colors around here...lighter, though, yes. Since it's a dead tree that's probably been there a while, the wood will have bleached in the sun and gotten significantly lighter colored.

hmm your probably right if to consider the fact that its been out in the desert with sand storms and the like it should have a lighter brown going in with sand (probably stuck to the tree) and dried wood if i am not wrong is kinda yellowish in its color ... or beige is probably the more correct color ...

well just thinking loudly
(and iku again i love that tile set :D )
