Advertising TMW on your local craigslist idea

Would it be out of turn to push traffic to TMW via my/your local craigslist ads? I figured I could post an ad for the game and direct them to where people could help via the wiki every 45 days after the ad runs out.
Is there a downside to this?

Is this kind of advertisement on Craiglist desired by the users?
Advertising in a way which is perceived as "spam" by the user will not bring us a lot of happy users but will instead provoke negative reactions which could manifest in ingame abuse or even direct attacks on the server or related services.

This is a good point. Perhaps it would be regarded as spam. I don't know if it would be any better to post the ad in the "free" section, as TMW is open source, but maybe that would be better?
Or maybe I should just make a facebook fan page (is there already a fan page?).

Using social networks like facebook is a great idea (not that I would use it myself though - privacy reasons).
