Experience is already devided by % of damage dealt to the monster, it's not simply all for the killer.
And we've already had a few discussions about item stealing. I suggested in a non-party situation the dropped items should get a tag so for a few seconds there's only one player who can pick 'em up. I'm not really sure though what's the best way to calculate that right. Either by most damage taken, most damage done or most time spent in the battle I think.
