Yeah, give the doctor that makes the sex-changes sell suicide pills or something. I think we should keep @-commands from gameplay since it exposes the game and kills roleplaying. If we get some item that you could use to commit suicide instead i would be all for it.

Since death is no longer always a winning proposition for the most part, it's not entirely a game changer. I can imagine a few maps where the player maybe too high level to die easily this may benefit, but they can still die from mobs. At best, it can back you out of the crypts and GY, but with the strength of the mobs in those areas, it's easier to die than to type @die.

The server really isn't PvP, PvE or Roleplay style but all three. So I understand the need to attach it to an item or device for the roleplayers and that we don't end up with @die bots. As I've seen people spell with corpses. (Google Wow Corpse Spelling) Thus, If it's allowed it will have to come with a throttle of some sort to prevent spamming and general nuisance use.

Why do people want access to @die? Real use cases here. Just wondering if this isn't something that could be fixed with more soul menhirs.

Talking to people in-game today, the only 'sensible' answer and most plausible idea was to be able to lie down in places, perhaps as a suggestion that they are 'afk'. It doesn't make sense for travel because of the towels and also the fact that you don't spawn at Soul Menhirs anymore upon death.

Because it's a @command? There really should be no explanation here. It's dumb to give every player @commands in general. if anything there should be /emote or something if people wanna lay down, or /changepose so it's normal for everyone to use.

There is no reason for people to have @die.
