PS: Also diving.

I've always liked underwater "levels". Sunken cities and such. :)

Even the implementation of diving has been thought of.

Will the player be able to run and jump in future, too?
That would be great :D

Running, yes... Jumping probably not, what use would it have? Ok, I can think of some uses but it would require probably quite complicated heightmap to define where the player can jump to. The height a player could jump could be define by his athletics and length a player can jump by his athletics and speed. Although it may be cool to jump off bridge 'n ridges I think it would be very hard to implement and it's questionable how much it would add to the game and if it would cause the gameplay to turn out the way we would want. It would go more to Zelda/Mario 64 instead of Secret of Mana and other classic RPG's.
One big problem is how to project the heightmap to the perspective we have. We will have to cope with a similar problem if we will have east-west oriented ramps and stairs.

Just think about it for a while and you may realise how hard it is, it would probably need a LOT of changes.

Didnt we discuss about jumping in a thread about players blocking other players in narrow passages?
I've forgotten what the conclusion, if any, was.

The players blocking other players in narrow passages was solved by allowing players to walk through each other in such cases. This will be part of the 0.0.22 release.
