Roleplaying problem.

When I first saw the game, I was really happy to found out that still there can be a good, free, multiplatform mmorpg. I still think that way about TMW, but... there is a small thing that isn't right, IMHO. I mean most important thing in mmorpg - roleplaying. The things like NPC saying a sentence ended with ':D' emoticon aren't much "roleplaying".
I'm not saying that all players should roleplay (altought that would be nice), not everyone knows english enough to roleplay (like me, for example). But if NPCs have dialogs like that I've mentioned before, the game shouldnt be called mmorpg.
That would be nice to see a good mmo game with good rpg elements, you know what I mean? Longer dialogs, stories which we can hear from an old man sitting in INN, many quests with a more advanced plot involving searching, talking with others and thinking.

All dialogs and maps that are currently ingame are just temporary for testing the engine.

The concept for the new game world is currently in the conceptualisation phase. When the game world is fully designed we will create new maps and NPCs with a lot more regard for storytelling, consistency and atmosphere.

Maybe you would like to take part in the conceptualisation?

A good starting point would be to read the articles on the wiki about the game background to see what has already been created:
http://wiki.themanaworld.org/index.php/Creatures
http://wiki.themanaworld.org/index.php/Prehistory
http://wiki.themanaworld.org/index.php/Geography
http://wiki.themanaworld.org/index.php/The_Modern_Age
After that you could fill in the gaps in those concepts with your own ideas or start some new articles. It would also be helpful to join our IRC channels for some real-time brainstorming.
