I have a suggestion! It would make the game much better by getting money from monsters. Example: kill a maggot and get 0-3 gp like that cause im getting board of the killing to find items then sell. Just a suggestion.

I've suggested a quest where you kill a plague and you would receive X GP for every piece. Unfortunately, this is more suitable towards the next server when it will finally have a scripting backend. The idea is there... if you want to do a script for eAthena you're free to do so.

The problem of a GP-per-Kill-System is always the same for me... In the end of every (Singleplayer)-RPG I played (using that system), I'm rich to buy everything twice. Earning money moves into the background because you will get it automatically.

How about that system (for infinite number of quests):
  1. Talk to a Questmaster.
  2. maybe select a Task-Level
  3. Questmaster: Kill <Monstername> in <Mapname>, because <RandomReason>. You will get <GP> (or get an <Item>)
    • I accept -> to 4.
    • I dont accept -> back to 2.
  4. The server saves the <Mapname>, <MonsterId> and <MonsterIndex> (the internal index of the alive monster) for the custom quest.
    • the monster <MonsterIndex> get killed by the player (quest-owner) -> 5.
    • the monster <MonsterIndex> get killed by someone else -> 6.
  5. Server is recognising the the kill and shows some kind of message including "Quest Completed! You got <Reward> GP" will be shown.
  6. Server is recognising that someone else killed the quest-monster... So the <MonsterIndex> is changing to another monster with <MonsterID> on <Mapname>
So the player will be able to play a infinite number of quests with money or rewards. I believe thats more entertaining than just levelling somewhere...

The items you find for selling are the monetary reward you get for killing monsters. Giving you an additional bounty for each kill would be an additional payment. When you believe that the money you get by selling monster drops isn't enough and you can back this up with reason we could argue about increasing the drop rates or selling price of loot items.

Please take a look at http://wiki.themanaworld.org/index.php/Dynamic_Quests
The "Kill the monster" quest type is basically what you are suggesting. When you have other ideas for auto-generated quests feel free to add them to this wiki article.

The Monster Points system is quite good. But sometimes it's kind of a drag when players accumulate over 10k and have to repeatedly click the same sequence over and over. How about a sub-selection. Trading 1-500 will give you something. 500 to 1k would give you something better.

I have always though the monster point system should be revamped, I currently have over 2 mil monster points and could easily just click for a about an hour and have ton of GP brought back into the game.
