Your christmas wish list.

We are currently doing some brainstorming about the christmas event this year. And I thought maybe some people from the community have a good idea or two.

So what do you want to have for christmas this year?

Performance optimization for the client.

I dont think that we should bring back old items because then it takes the fun out of having rare items when everyone has them again. This same thing happened with the pumpkin helmet where it was really rare and fun to try to gt but now everyone in the game seems to have one. I say new items even if it is only one or two. As for new ideas, maybe some sort of stocking boots. This is pretty far out there but this could be a good time to creat some sort of pet system by having a reindeer to ride or follow.

I dont think that this game really needs a pet system for riding. I mean, the world isnt too big and our characters arent too slow either. If a pet system for riding is built in, at least slow the character speed down.

And as far as my wishlist goes, i think you should give out special items we can hold, but only on one condition. We have to be able to see what weapon we are holding as in if i equipped a dagger, i could tell i was holding it. If you allow us to see our weapons equipped, holiday events would be much easier to plan out.

For example: A giant candy cane was the special item for christmas. We could use the cane as a weapon, considering it was the size of the scythe, and hold it like an old person (no offense) as a walking stick.

Some of the things that came to my mind are:

Map:
New overlay - Light snow or blizzard would be the most obvious example
Large candy canes dispersing snow - Just as a decorator, using particle engine
Icicles falling in the ice cave - Accomplished with the particle engine?

Graphics:
Penguins!!!!
Animated NPCs - Even just small things such as breathing/pacing/laughing/etc.

Equipment:
Ice skates

Concepts:
Snow ball fight - I'm not sure how to accomplish this one...
Sled racing

That's all I have for now. Some of these ideas seem feasible to me (overlay and particle engine stuff), while others seem to be more difficult/time consuming (sled racing and animated NPCs).

Based on this, I foresee the following (from me previous post) possible/likely.

I think and elf hat (maybe ) or my favorite, a rudolph nose .

here's what the nose could look like.

I'm having trouble coloring it because it's so small though. (it replaces ranger hat)

and for the elf hat we could possibly recolor quiche_on_a_leash's funky hat like...

I like the halo idea
