The dev team concensus is for real time, directly controlled combat, as of the latest dev meeting. I'll start framing this system as soon as possible. I'll be making considerations on how to fix delay and smooth the gameplay to account for the small and inevitable lag associated with direct control. If you have any ideas on this, please let me know.
