It'd be nice if we could have an option to make the chat window transparent without affecting the rest of the in-game windows. It'd be even nicer if it turned opaque when you hovered the mouse over it!
I can't imagine this being very difficult to implement, but I've found myself wishing for it on numerous occasions because it blocks quite a bit of the screen but sometimes I want it open to read stuff (stopping me from just resizing it into a corner).

Better would be to have it closed, with a visible alert if someone chats.

Sorry to use such an overused example but I meant something like World of Warcraft:


Only when you hover the mouse over it it turns opaque.

Put this on mantis and I should be able to get around to it at some point in the future.
