Regarding the new monster AI, it could be fun to have monsters that attacked players within a given range, but ignored players outside this range. These monsters would basically be lazy yet grumpy.
If you place a big grumpy monster in a newbie area and let it wander around a bit, then the newbies have extra fun trying to avoid it but mediocre bots will be slaughtered because they don't know how to flee. It could also be fun to set an aggressive-range to some of the slimes. Then they would end up attacking players that were standing too close to loot on the ground.

What madness is this?
What world is this?
Where is Jesus?
Each place a place, every place a rule, every rule a reason, I always respected.
