Halloween Event 2008

It's already september and thus our annual halloween event is getting close.

What kind of event would you like to have? Something cooporative like last christmas? Or rather a quest which can be done by everyone on his/her own like last halloween?

I would prefer keeping pumpkin ghosts out of it whatever it is, it puts newbies at a large disadvantage and stops them from joining in the fun.

I could always finish that set for the event reward. I do think the demon mask would be a good reward too, though.

I would prefer something cooperative, it really breaks the endless chain of "get me X" quests.

cooperative was very nice in the spirit of christmas, but I think haloween should be solo. I was looking at the scripts of trick or treat from two years ago, and It sounds like it was a lot of fun. Oh, about last years event, even with the protections of drops, if somebody with a very high attack camps out at the summoner and attacks, he's likely to have dips over the drops, and stealing away other player's reward would be even easier.

Here's a concept: ever hour or every two hours there's an invasion of monsters in one of the towns, we base these monsters on the current monsters like: ghost snake, ghost spider, ghost red slime, ghost black scorpion and perhaps also skulls and jacko's. (Could it be possible to make the ghost transparent with recoloring? if not then perhaps just a slightly darker color) All these monsters instead of droppping their usual drops drop a single item something that counts as an award (we could use the dark crystals image and call it "spirit stone"). The harder the monster the higher droprate. These spirit stones can then be exchanged with an NPC for rewards.

devil and jester seems to fit the team, but I expect that the newer players would like an opportunity to get the old rares also?

I always thought old rares are "old" due to the fact that they won't spawn again.

Please make an enemy weak so that even the person who is not so strong gets an item.
And, the thing which I got makes the harvest, the new item with the last event and can gain the favor.

This graphic should not be used anymore because we are using dynamically recolored (greyscale) scorpions for ages. It seems like you are working with very old copies of the data files. You should update them as described here: http://forums.themanaworld.org/viewtopi ... =13&t=2617
