Red "Error" under character name???

When I log in I get a red "Error" Underneath the old characters...
Guess if I upgraded to the new .26...the old characters are wiped?

Please reequip your equipment. This was said in news posts. It's due to a small change in the item DBs.

No, the characters are saved on the server. They won't be deleted when you install a different client version. In fact the server doesn't even know your client version.
