Changes to the new mine

Got something on your mind about the project? This is the correct place for that.

Maybe that was not the best example but you know what I mean? Joking or not, you are still thinking we are lazy because we don't move, which is why you made a joke about it which is why I made that post.
No, that was not the best example, because you said yourself that it was an old lady. :D
It's your choice to interpret the joke as having a deeper meaning. It could also be interpreted as just a joke about roleplaying. Of course the warrior who doesn't move is not necessarily lazy. Maybe his boots just got stuck in maggot slime or something. ;)

Re: Changes to the new mine

Post by Wombat »

I get bored with mob fighting, so I switch up and move around. I've been busy with work and other things lately and haven't gotten on as much. I like the new mine and didn't grow accustomed to what was though I found the high spawn rates exciting to kill. I remember there has been at least one other time when the spawn rates were crazy and the players really enjoyed that too.

When there is high traffic, like in other mines, it is sometimes hard to find a swarm that you can just chill and mob fight, but during the weekdays, most times its easy to move around just one or two rooms to find another swarm, that might be worth less or more experience.

Maximizing on xp is a sometimes goal of mine when I'm pressing forward on levels and working with limited game time. An easy strategy is preferred, but I specifically kept with the bow so I could have more control over my fights and move around more. The beach is now a grind spot with higher spawning rates, just to give a hint to those melee fighters that want to find a camping ground that is a little less difficult than the Snake pit. Also there is also the Fire skulls in the front and the Jacko ledge for lazy xping if you can score hits.

I can say that a lot of people have benefited from the previous spawn rates and several people I know have climbed many hard to reach levels fast. I think AJ and z0ro are basically saying they want to casually level their characters without having to repetitively hunt for a new spot or wait for an extended period of time for respawning. And while this has presently been denied, it doesn't change the amount of joy high spawn rates bring.

I don't think it just has to do with easy xp and drops. Endless swarms can be shared easily with friends instead of fighting to get kills or worrying over steal kills. I know I've had more social occasions inside a couple endless swarms or fighting the jacko camp than constantly wandering around. Its easier to make allies if you can share combat with others, especially when players can handle the fight instead of constantly dying from being overwhelmed in the pit. Warriors can hold the line together against some sort of foe that will keep coming, rather than constantly separating to find another personal swarm to take on.

On botting, though I worry about it, I think anti-botting shouldn't hinder player enjoyment. Afterall, the purpose of getting rid of bots is so people that actually play the game can enjoy the game without bots.
Current character is "Abolish".

Maybe this will help in understanding my tone: an idea of the level of debate I'm used to

That thread doesn't say why it's been locked. But, if a locked thread is an example of level of debate that you're used to, it's a rather bad omen.
Please try to match your level of debate to the forum that you're posting to.

No, actually there have been some valid points about gameplay.

Undermining those is bad community service.
