I have decided to post this here to let you know that me and many people are disagree with the rule "only english speaking". I know that english its an universal language and it can be understood in many places but I think everybody should be able to comunicate by using their own language.

You can whisper to other players in any language. The thing is that the moderators don't speak every language and do not know when users speaking other languages are engaging in illegal activity.

I agree completely with the attitude of crojas, many players who do not speak English at indioma are stopping by to play why not (do not speak English in places pulblicos) is a topic for sujestões and my posting here I am, everyone should have the right also ...
Yet for every family to have more players from other countries and with different languages give my opnião to change this rule ...
This rule created by my view was a great injustice to players who do not have knowledge of the English language, I am one of them ...

i am with crojas, do you have try to talk with whisper to everyone?, takes a lot of time, and also we don't want to be banned for that. i give an example you go another country and there want do you talk another language or you most to take the next airplane to your country and actualy any country have a law about it , but is the same thing in this game.

thanks

Hello all , I agree with crojas ,and I think this is not just for those who speak Spanish for all other languages,
some people do not have that advantage of speaking English, I include myself among them,
I hope you have more tolerance with regard to languages, we like people who have the need to communicate with others, this is a great game ,what makes it even bigger is that it is a free game, anyone can play it,this is a free game not understand that not speak our language in public places, I need someone to explain in words what I understand that, really would appreciate it very much, make it clear that no english ,wrote these lines in English through the google translator I hope they understand what quice say in my post ,we do not want to offend anyone just right to express our opinions , thanks for reading.

I support crojas, since i play ive been told to speak english in public places and once in some other.
I really know that moderation is needed but is there no other option??
The whispering thing its very annoying when you try to talk to many people at once and every time you have to type "/whisper <nick>", its very useful but in some situations it is not.

I have a few questions:

1- Isn't possible to be a moderator in other language?

2- Isn't possible to have a "free language" talk town??

Finally, i love this game not because of the quest, nor the graphics but because its a free (as freedom) game and because its different people makes it better playing.

Well, I agree both possitions, why...?

If you see the Dev and GM side, they are correct because there's no way to catch the people who do illegal thing if they speak another language than the GM's language.

But, I disagree that, because, people should be able to play a game without the knowledge of a foreing language, so the rule is not good, because there's many people around the world that do not speak english very well.

It would be good to have a place for different languages, or GMs who speak differents languages, e.g.: Spanish, there's a lot of good players who know the rules, and can decide if a player must be or not banned.

Another solution could be the way to let to the user to make groups, and this groups could talk with the members without disturb the public chat.

There's many solutions than a rule that is useless for the game, because, many people could go out from the game because this.

See you in the game.

And keep doing this great work, but now without barriers.

Goe.

The way other games overcome this problem is to have country specific servers, though I suppose this isn't feasible in the current stage of development.

Well, I've the possibilities to have my own server, but I would like to know if the Devs agree with this...

See ya!

People look, this should be common knowledge: Why are you playing an ENGLISH game if you don't SPEAK it!?!

¡Escucha!

Maybe because TMW's fun to explore?
I think it would currently be playable as a fighting-monsters game without speaking the language, and most of the quests would be doable with weak English skills.

I'm tempted to go and see what Invertika's like (the German TMW fork), but haven't because I wouldn't have the language skills to socialise there. I've looked at their source, and seen that they have different maps.

kr0n05931, maybe you have the right skill to talk to everyone, but a kid with 8 years old doesn't have it, so, I found this game a great place to be for a while, even if you don't speak english so well, and if everyone is here it's because we almost have a dictionary to translate the word from English to our language.

This game is awasome, It rocks!

It's a great community!

I would like to see large non-english TMW communities creating their own localized servers. Everything you need can be found online.

All I am saying is that you shouldn't play a video game in another language if you don't know it. We don't want more people only speaking certain languages because then we have a ton of players unable to give us good feedback, and this damages the open source model. How can you report a bug if you have no clue how to speak a single word of the main language? How can you even contribute? Perhaps some major bug happens disconnecting all people on Macs and our Mac userbase is totally Chinese speaking. Who would tell us?
