True enough , i didn't say the opposite , but some english language imperialists are abusing the fact that developers wanted an universal game to create a single-way of thinking game.

really??? and you accuse me of inventing conspiracy theories who is inventing them now?? i dont want to be a ****ing gm i just dont want to be prosecuted for speaking my own language

chinese is a larger language group that english , english is just important because of usa cultural and economic imperialism , plurality is lots of languages , not just one
jaxad0127 wrote:A minor disagreement with your analysis - the UK is included in "north Europe", which has 40% of the votes.
Good catch. Don't forget Ireland.
uk and ireland are tiny pieces of europe and have little players , by the way in Ireland the language is IRISH , and in large areas of the uk the language is Gaelic (english language imperialists will close their eyes to this fact)

Irish is considered a "traditional" language and is not spoken by a majority of Ireland, nor is gaelic.

"english language imperialists" rofl
This thread went somewhat pointless, there are rules you have to accept - nothing to discus.
Or go try to discus how annoying gravity is and that live would be much easier without it.

So, more than 40% of our players speak Chinese as their first language? ;)

* Any person catched breaking the rules will be banned.
* Use /whisper.
* Any thread challenging the rules again will be instantly closed. Not because censorship, but because the subject was discussed gazzilion of times and it already becomes boring.
* I am Polish, and I do value my native language very much. So there is no need to make up plot theories that I want you to speak English, because I am British/American and hate foreign people.

I am not entirely sure if this comment has any deeper meaning but even you should know that times have changed. Therefore I won't continue speaking over a more than 60years old idiot. It would neither help you and your attempt to relax the rules nor do I belief to change your behaviour.
Back to my personal opinion regarding this topic, we all have to admit that even if we shouldn't like it, English is probably the best language to allowed conversations between different people. We also should know that every community needs a consistent language. So what against English? only course there are a few people, mainly Spanish speaking persons, who can't accept that it is vitally important to learn English in our modern world? go host your own tmw, no one will stop you.

That's wrong. I've been to Ireland myself. I traveled around the whole island mostly visiting small villages. Everyone speaks british english there. People who speak gaelic in daily conversations are a very small minority. Most people only know a few stock phrases of the old gaelic language.

I live in Wales and speak Welsh. But I use English far more than I use Welsh because that's what everyone speaks here! Further north in Wales people tend to speak more Welsh, but almost no one doesn't speak English.

At any rate, can't the Spanish and Portuguese lot go hang out on the Brazilian server where they all speak Portuguese?

English should be main language but not only one. Can't you see that you misunderstanded youself? One says that english shouldn't be only, and next says that one before said spanish should be main..... So all people CAN'T understand themselfs on one language. I agree there should be english as a main language even i'm not from english-speaking country. But to forbid someone to speak on their language is not moral. This is MMORPG, and i haven't seen any MMO that has rule like this.

It's not problem to me to speak on english, i had chance to learn it and it's not problem, but there are people who didn't have a chance. They can't even understand this thread. There are always people who will help and translate something if needed.

I totally agree - we shouldn't stop people from speaking their native language. Instead I think we should give them their own server so as to avoid this whole conflict. Fortunately for you one is already there, so why not use it?
