Hello.
An idea came to me while I was playing:
It would be great to have a NPC in the game that you could talk to, to change the music to a streamed playlist on e.g. http://www.jamendo.com/.
Maybe some hand picked Creative Commons songs that sounds like Folk-song or Mediaeval..
I think that would be a great complement to the standard BGM.
With Open Source and Creative Commons this is all possible, in contrast to a proprietary game which would not be able to use a "Non commercial" license.
What do you think? Too much strain on the bandwidth?

Re: Streamed Creative Commons background music
If anyone plans on implementing this, it'd be more than polite to ask the representatives of Jamendo beforehand.
This message used to be meaningful.
Re: Streamed Creative Commons background music
It could be also good to have a little script that could choose the alternative music from your own computer, to reduce the used bandwidth of any service used.
