This are kinda a support forum, without needs to be identified by an avatar or a signature. Use colors, which don't require that much space (in both ways), and can look even better.

I didn't mean like using colors with stupid sentences sentences ._. Most likely, what you said, with colors. In my opinion looks better.

I removed the animated gif avatar and replaced with a small png of one frame from it.

I made the file size reduce from 31k bites to 2k.

I do think they should not be enlarged but do not think they should be removed as said because removing it is like removing your personality.
i dont think your sig should be a personality item cause i use mine for something meaningful

I love my signature, if all signatures were taken off, I would go crazy.
