some advice about TMW Server

I make a mistake in the past.

I always believe TMW using the eAthena Server(include map_server),but today i try using TMW0.0.29.1 logon eAthena map_server,the map files format always wrong.so I read some sourecode with TMW map_server and eAthena Map_server...

OMG!one using 3D map format(eAthena),and another using 2D format(TMW),so I rebuilded TMW map_server(https://themanaworld.svn.sourceforge.ne ... ena/trunk/),but My workspace is MSVC2009,so some include files was missing and can't compiled.

so,I suggest and hope TMW officer can supply workspace(like .dsw/.sln) on MSVC(2005/2009) on next version.

we know some people can using LCC on win32/GCC on Linux, but some people still using MSVC on windows, maybe multiple choices is great thing!

so sorry for my stupid english(-_-!)

eAthena is a UNIX application and thus can only be compiled on windows by using Cygwin. A step-by-step guide can be found on our wiki: http://wiki.themanaworld.org/index.php/ ... on_Windows

Regarding providing project files for MS Visual Studio: Most TMW developers are advocats of open source software and thus try to avoid using closed source software like MS Visual Studio when there are free alternatives.

The official TMW client is unlikely to ever have a 3d engine. The goal of the project is to create a nostalgic MMORPG in the style of old 16bit role playing games. Because TMW is open source nothing stops anyone from creating a TMW client with a 3d frontend, but do not expect the original development team to take part in this.
