All these maggots and no Flies?

There are a lot of maggots in the game, little maggots, bigger maggots with legs, but what do maggots turn into? Flies! There should be some flies in the game. By the scale, I'd have to say they need to be pretty big, 6x6 square should just about do it. They should definitely pick up items with there big sucker thing and leave maggot slime in the place of items (only if the code is written so that the monster doesn't pick up it's own slime). No map should have more than a few of them otherwise it would get to be annoying, and probably too much work for the server.

The monster should be called "Lord of the Flies"

LOL, nice! Now just create the graphic and maybe they'll think about it. :)

And your authority to shoot down content development initiatives was?

That aside, I've been thinking for years about the evolution path of maggots and flies are just too common. I'll [REQ] conceptualization for this elusive something on the GFX section.

On TMWServ the evolution will be easier to implement in-game. (Although it is possible with eAthena too, for example Pupa -> Creamy.)

Cool! I'll visit that thread, and post 20 different ideas in different posts to reach Warrior forum level quicker.

~I love threads where you can do that!

P.S, I am joking. Cool idea.

Your sarcasm is really annoying.

Sarcasm is only good when someone says something stupid. Since Rotonen making a thread for the Lord of the Flies is a good idea, sarcasm is pointless on it. I'm just in a bad mood.

@goku your avatar is really annoying... Is that an insult or is it clever?

BTW I think that flies are a good idea :D

the large maggots are actually grub worm larvae which (in the real world) become beetles
http://insects.tamu.edu/fieldguide/bimg141.html

But they could metamorphize into anything you wanted, even some sort of humanoid creature (maybe even a sexy lady bug woman  )
the point being its fantasy and needn't be restricted by the real world (but seriously go with the sexy bug women)

Female players of course (or are they just a myth)

Well, it's a desert. They could be Scarab Beetle larvae... and the adults drop Scarab Armlets?
And push around balls of ... some desert animal... droppings?

~YES to the sexy bug woman! (*goes to make graphics*)
