Why server devs are so outcast?

Please, open a server forum, to discuss, server related thing...

I agree dunno how much work you guys have done on your own server but I think its a thing that needs to be started at least.

Forums would maybe help this and maybe draw in some server devs

good places to get these people are people who make server emulators for games...

such as ragnarok and so on...

I could agree, anyway I think I will open one as soon as we start deep server development.

Well it wouldn't hurt to have a forum for that even now. The module in the cvs exists and people could express opinions about it and interact with each other more.

Please, I really think we need it rigth now... There are much things to decide, threading somethings... memory usage, design model, many, many things... To setup a roadmap, so, when people get to the server, the follow a path, and developing the server get?s mucho more easier...

With luck, developers will get to the server to IMPLEMENT actions, not the core functionality of objects relationship and communications... that is a real pain in the ass...

Don't you think the IRC channel currently is enough for that?

IRC is like talking at a coffee, main tougths are shown, but the development of the tougth need more persistent way of handling the information

And really, besides, opening a new forum takes like 3 or 4 cliks... I?m not asking for a creation of a forum with black magic included just another forum, named Server Development...

It can be used now, it will be used later, so, really, why not? : )
