Release v2016.2.9 troubleshooting

Post by gumi » 10 Feb 2016, 04:10

Troubleshooting
My hair style changed
You can change your hair style and color for free by talking to the barber (Issay) in Tulimshar. The barber can also change your sex.
Need help finding the barber? ask one of the town sitters.

My gender changed on login OR My gender changes every time I cast a spell
Go see the barber (Issay) or the creepy surgeon (Eurni) in Tulimshar to change your gender back. You might need to wait 5 minutes after the sex change before casting a spell or logging out if it doesn't work on first try.

Players have creepy blue eyes and a black face
You need to update ManaPlus to the latest version.

Some players seem to be invisible OR I see green "Error" tiles
Make sure you do not skip the updates after the login screen (the updates on the game news screen). If it doesn't work, update ManaPlus to the latest version.

I get a random hair style/color AND a stat reset on login
Talk to Constable Bob in Hurnscald and choose any language from the list. On your next login it won't happen again.

The hair styles and colors all seem different/weird
The hairstyles were modified to restrict the palette to fewer colors. This is still a work-in-progress. Feel free to contribute.

I can not get past the game news screen OR The client freezes before the char selection screen
You need to update ManaPlus to the latest version.

I am not able to distribute stats on the char creation screen
This is normal. You can now only choose a name on char creation screen. You may distribute your stats and change your hair/gender in-game.

I have another problem not listed here
