The only thing I have a problem with is the booklet stands legs. The legs on ether side of the middle are to low in the image. This makes it look as though the perspective is wrong. So far thats the best Piano attempt I have seen so far. Might I ask your personal intentions with this graphic?

not sure I understand about the legs on music stand...I'll stare at it for awhile and see if I can figure it out.
[edit] yeah more like this Image [/edit] =]

My personal intentions are: to get more fringe items pixeled.
Be nice to see it in a tavern or Inn interior...but no special plans.

I still think the legs could go a bit higher.

keep in mind that not everything is seen head on even npc ..some may be back to and some side ..imo

i have ideas involving a band to play music in the bar...and that was talk of a grand ballroom ...

the stand is fine (vary good) ... saying this as some one who fixes old music stuff(and i had a old one like it )..

so don't kill your self over detail ...do that when you have 50 thing 1/2 pixeled lol   ....

Hi Podling

I like that piano a lot, nicely done. Maybe the color palette could be reduced though : On little elements like that one, using fewer colors can really help to get a "cleaner" look. I'd also use a directionnal light based shading, instead of the point light i believe i notice on your version. The piano is mostly made of flat surfaces, i think keeping the shading simple would work better there. I made a quick edit of the piano to try to show what i mean :

light dithering, if used correctly, can be used to give a warped or finished look on the wood. Both are very nice if we used placement as a factor. Ysalmondine version of texture would fit the style used in the desert buildings where Arikel's would fit in woodland.

Fringe.. that remember me a conversation with wombat, that he wanted a clock in the woodland_indoorx2 or something like that, i find it somewhere (on this forum, maybe from crush... but not sure) and just doing it animated... I wonder if you can do it better or what.

I made a grandfather clock which I prefer to that, here:

and then yoshuara edited it to this:

I feel that neither is quite right, but I like them more than jaxad's.
