New warrior skills (was: [REQ] icons for skills)

Post by Big Crunch »

No warrior skills are included? I'm beginning to feel that the warrior class is being neglected. Is it just my pro warrior bias?

These are the skills, which are already supported by the server since a long while, so it makes sense, to bring them in game first.

Actually melee appropriate passive skills are supported since 2004 and have already been used back when you could sell your soul to become soulless.
This message used to be meaningful.

Maybe it is time that the content developers think about reenabling these skills.

But this is a topic for the content development board and not graphics development.

Yes we started to develop content npc and quests for gaining the skills.
I concentrated on all the skills fate put in....That are passive skills which need to be focused to make effect.
So you can have only a certain amount of passive skills working.

The advantage over classes I see here is this:
You can freely choose any combination of skills. So if we'd go for a class system (as proposed in irc) you would only have a small group of possible combinations of skills. That is why I like fates approach here.

I hope somebody can find some suitable graphics there :)

To explain my point, it seems as though there have been several things added to assist archers and mages, terranite armor, forest armor, fairy hat, Terr. arrows, HP crown, monster skull helm, and these new skills. Nothing warrior oriented has been introduced. As I say, perhaps its my pro warrior bias. Opinions?

hello

i can only fully agree with BC

mages have all kind of color robes and hats circlets towel etc (2 added items in outfit)
mage with iron powder make lighting 4 times more powefull than full warior lvl 99

archers have now very good sets outfits
archer lvl 70 have more power in their hits than a melee warrior lvl 99

warrior have
3 shields
3 armor - plate
1 leg armor
4 helmets
1 4 leaves clover
past level 60 only one outfit is valuable the full warlord set

so yes BC is completely right

waiting for the rings and more content in game for warrior

in what concerns the exp
on same mob
full mage
archer level 70 +
full warrior level 96
...
have you tried it ? :D

ahahahah

on a skull for example

someone said recentely in tmw that less people kill skull and less and less do

logical... just play it you'll understand why
warrior's lvl 65-70 been fighting for 3 minuts on it and reached lets say 2 k damage on skull (fire one :) with poison forget it he 'll died poisonned or will have to run and rest even absorbing expensives potions)
a full mage level 50+ arrives with 99 int and with 1 iron powder will finish the skull take the pile of ash and smile :)
so nice he cured the little warrior (joke) :))

this is not serious but
it is a game in developement

stats will help building team work between players having different types of playing the game archer mage and warrior

nowadays it is unbalanced and levels doesn't mean that much imho

thanks for reading and considering this opinion
remark : i spend a lot of my time protecvting archers or mages everyones knowes... so ;) ok ? ;)

I agree with BC it seems to me that warrior in this game is just left in the dust. To elaborate my opinion two new armor sets both for archer and way easier to get then any of the warrior based armor sets. Mages have tons of different types of clothes to wear and also have armor pieces that boost their attributes way more then anything a warrior has. Actually warrior has no equipment what so ever (except clover which is not easy to get and only boosts one stat one point) that boosts his stats. then to add insult to injury (IMHO) a mage doesn't even have to be lvl 50 to kill a lvl 99 warrior. My level 78 warrior has been killed by a level 30 mage before. Seems to me mages have enough stat boosting equipment and other so such items archers need a little love I'll agree with you there but you have left warriors in the dust for now maybe you could consider take them off the top shelf dusting them off and give them a little love instead of everything else. Not complaining just stating what a common player has to deal with if they want to be a warrior. In short an established mage has it pretty easy. Maybe not at first but get some extra items gathered up and there set. Their equipment is easily obtained and can kill pretty much anything at an earlier lvl then warriors can. On a side note an older player with a ton of money saved up has it even easier since they can afford the HP crown as well as others. As i said before I will agree that the archers need a little love also, but i think the mages can wait for awhile since they already have such a big leap in development on the other so called classes.

"oh great" say archer and mages looking at the rock knife

"oh great my setzer is still the best melee weapon in game" say warriors :))

ahahaha

anyway nice weapon to go to storage collection of weapons or did i miss something in how to equip and use rock knife ?
and i am not mentionning the wooden staff...

if weapons for warriors to be gain fighting are in order of leveling

knife
dagger
scythe
small sword
setzer
(level 60)
what does a rock knife less useful does in a quest of level 80 +

just questionning myself

maybe some kind of story guideline in the how to progress in level and weapons reflexion should be conduct...
maybe someone has some answers...

Thanks

Sincerely yours
