hi folks,

just now i was talking to chetic, bear and a couple of other ppl on irc and we though of what to do first. items, maps... well a lot of things.
anyhow, i think we should get an overview of the world that is going to be created by all the map-devs. like a big map w/ every continent listen or something. also potential dungeons could be marked on the map and so on...

along w/ it a legend or story that gives a good fell to everything and teach about how things are in our world and maybe even how it was created by some kind of god-creature, different kinds of tribes, religions or just a definition of the "bad-guy".

how about it? is that an idea?

ps: i don't think letting the map-devs do small maps, items and stuff randonmly is a good thing to do...

I hear you man and I agree

You can just put out entrances to dungeons on the map, cos the actual dungeons could be improvised by the mapper

alright, i generated a world-map. that means you could use it as a texture on a planet-like object.

Great idea Alex I was thinking the same, it's time to build a real/fantasy world. With a complete world we will have a lot of fun and a lot of other players interested in The Mana World.

Wow very nice artwork I like it a lot and I think I'll put it also on the website to start talking about The Mana World world, but I think there should be some continents instead of only islands

Everyone please post your opinion (anyway this greatly depends on the story)

a couple of guys have already said this but as i said, i haven't made the map by hadn rather generated it using the gimp. the rest though (planet & stuff) is my work. i don't think having that many islands will give us great tradeoff. since they can be uber huge when you look at the size of the map.

this may help us getting an idea of how things "can" be done. maybe we could extract some ideas and form then to fit our intentions, eh?
