I think pyraminds are too simple. I love them, but not in TMW. Somehow it just doesn't fit in.

I agree with Modanung, I don't think a pyramid will fit TMW.

Im not happy with a pyramid either. What I think would be more fitting is something like a cave entrance that look like that temple that have been carved out of a canyon wall. The third Indiana Jones had it as the final.Sorry I've forgot the name.

Anyway when you enter the cave there should be square or rectangular, maybe even triangular rooms with "road" tiles or something at the start but when you get deeper, maybe by climbing a fissure in the ground or something, you'll have the standard cave tileset.
Oh and the walls in the first part can be made of wall tiles I think.
That wouldnt look to bad imho.

Well what if we ran with the pyramid idea... made our own special buildings that all ran off a specific geometric shape... sort of parallel to what Egyptians did with pyramids, but used huge globes or dodecahedrons or some other crazy geometric shape as reocurring building themes. Or maybe i'm crazy.

When I think of pyramids I think of mummies and lots of gold. Maybe the pyramid could have something to do with necromancy and bringing people back to life. Or maybe I'm crazier then Ultim

The Egyptians weren't the only ones to have pyramids; the Aztecs who worshiped the sun also had a kool looking pyramid with steps. So maybe somehow sun worship will fit into the new magic system heh.

Sorry but I disagree whith every idea posted on this thread. Every concept that is ripped from reality shouldn't be used in the game, and this has been discussed to death really.

I partialy agree with Pajarico but I think we should state it differently.
All world content shouldn't be direct copies of the real world. They may resemble them, the content may even be inspired by them. But the real world should not be a reference in most cases.

That's why I said no to exsisting symbols (like the christian cross in that case) and I don't think an Egyptian, Mayan or Incan Pyramid would fit in TMW either.

Pyramid is not a religious symbol, many civilizations build them. Sure, due to media pyramides are now for majority of the people considered as Egyptian attributes. Anyway that desert is now so empty and dull I would even agree to put there pyramides.

Regards.
