I look into the darkness of the doorway. While I look at it, the darkness seems to be looking back at me. I wonder what I have become. Since I woke up on the altar, all I was doing was fighting and killing. I am looking at the remains of the poor hobbit. I let Gargantuax kill him, and I just watched. And when he was finished slaughtering the hobbit, I even praised him for doing this. Why did I do that? The hobbit didn't even try to attack me. And now I am wearing his mithril coat.

Is that all there is in my life? Killing and more killing to become stronger so I can kill even more? Just and endless spiral of violence and murder? Why am I doing this? Isn't there any meaning or purpose in my life? Maybe I am the real monster in this dungeon. Maybe it would be best to end this tragedy and just let the next creature I encounter kill me.
