They're not really practical looking. The bardiche might cut it with some modifications.

The armor worked really well. I think that should be our initial piece of inspiration upon which to build the jungle culture.

We need more cross-artist collaboration here.

Xephys, your cleaner drawing style on these 2 latter weapons was what I was after when I asked for a more detailed piece of drawing.

Oh.. Ok Rotonen. I'm glad my art is actually doing something at all! Its a bit late today to be doing any sketches, but I'll come up with something tomorrow.

Xephys, I like that bardiche.
Anyway, this is what I meant with the bamboo:
Image

It might not be the best picture because it was the first one I could find.
What I'm trying to say is the "bamboo" you drew looked like rectangular boards. Bamboo needs to look like a cylinder and not so straight... atleast that's what I think it should look like (not so manufactured though). I'm typing this in a rush so that's why I took the first picture I could find.
I love you too. :)

I don't know if you meant the dark pattern as paint... but I did a pixelised version. Hope you like it:

Thats pretty cool, but my idea was to have metal head to be dark grey, the symbols to be glowing blue and the handle...I dunno. But on the handle, there are parts parts that are metal. But good work on them, I hope they get put in the game someday. :D

okay, so i can't really imagine how can real man hold that dagger...seems anatomically impossible to me...
otherwise
i like your helmet except lower part which is chaotic, i can't figure out individual parts: what is what and where... try to define it better

and keep going! :)

Well...The upper lower part (hope that makes sense) is a solid part of the helmet, while the lower one is flexible and rests agains't the chest of the person wearing it. Hope that makes it a bit clearer.

IMO if it's helmet it should cover only head of subject not his chest...agree with flexible part but try to use fewer parts like on top part of helmet. That's my opinion

Well the flexible thing would only cover a tiny bit of the chest. And I did that to show that the person who made this has skill and craftmenship. After all, jungle people are experienced fighters, so they must know their equiptment. :?

Well if the armor has a gap matching the helmet and it all fits together, why not?

That aside, once you've completed the entire warrior set, do some variations (lighter armor for scouts, heavier for guards, different weaponry ?) and then illustrate the separated pieces as how they would look on people.

After that, you should start to expand the theme further into clothing in general (civilians) and architecture. (And doing sketches about the nature is not bad either if you're inspired.)

Thats quite a task rotonen, but I shall try my best. I think I have completed one set with this shield:

http://img169.imageshack.us/img169/4006 ... eld7uv.jpg

But what I really worked hard for, and sketched for hours was this:

http://img427.imageshack.us/img427/2797 ... ate9zb.jpg

This is the start of the heavy armor for jungle guards.

Thanks, and please leave a comment if possible.

You can't move them fully, but the smaller part of the shoulder plates is movable. But there will be a light weight armor coming soon. :)
