I have ideas to promote a big event, my only problem is the issue of awards. My event requires awards for up to third place, i need support to be able to promote this event for you.
How will this event work?
For example:
Unknown item is worth 4 points
Unknown item is worth 5 points
Unknown item is worth 3 points
Unknown item is worth 2 points
This event will last for a week for you to collect the list of items that are informed to you. I believe this event is in doubles, trios or even groups of 4, with the intention of prevailing the work together, never to individualism.
How would the score be?
Player 1, Player 2 and Player 3 give:
700 Unknown item
500 Unknown item
1000 Unknown item
900 Unknown item
Calculator: 700x4 = 2.800; 500x5 = 2.500; 1.000x3 = 3.000; 900x2 = 1.800; and 2.800 + 2.500 + 3.000 + 1.800 = 10.100 total points
Player 4, Player 5 and Player 6 give:
900 Unknown item
600 Unknown item
1500 Unknown item
1200 Unknown item
Calculator: 900x4 = 3.600; 600x5 = 3.000; 1.500x3 = 4.500; 1.200x2 = 2.400; and 3.600 + 3.000 + 4.500 + 2.400 = 13.500 total points
The formation that gets more points will be the winner. however, i want to make an event that there is up to third place.
If it is trios or groups will have a leader to represent them.
I'm putting unknown items to keep secrets

This is a great idea!
If someone brings you 1000 Snake Skins you could for example give him some expensive and rare hat.

I don't think this is a very fair event, as some players have thousands of items in their banks.
If you make it that they can't use items in their banks, then you still don't know if they're cheating or not.

the only way would be to use unreleased items, such as the Event Tickets: Chartreuse Ticket, Scarlet Ticket and Gold Ticket have been issued so the following are still available: Ivory Ticket, Cerulean Ticket, Cobalt Ticket, Lavender Ticket, Fuchsia Ticket

Those ticket items would be a great idea too, we could also try to make them disappear after some time, so that players cant just keep them stored.

we can't make items expire with tmwAthena so we'd have to manually run a sed on the next reboot, but yeah it's doable

I believe it would be best to be organized in pairs so there is not such a great advantage and so we could reduce that amount of thousands of stored items
