Speed Warrior Beheader Build Crypt Level 3

Post by mekagylvx »

I have finally found a very acceptable use for the Beheader, killing
Red Bones and Wights in the Crypt. This build is for a warrior using
the Speed Skill, Level 102, and EITHER the Beheader or the Sand Cutter.

Equipment:
Bull Helmet, Amethyst Ring,
Warlord Plate, Leather Gloves,
Beheader, Steel Shield,
Terranite Legs, Heart of Isis,
and Warlord Boots.

Lvl STR AGI VIT INT DEX LUCK
102 70+10 77+1 50 1 70+1 76
With Beheader:
Att Def %Acrcy %Evd %Crit AttDel WlkDel Damage/Sec(DPS)
1172 110 138 188 24 962 121 1218

You can get about 23K-26K EXP/min depending on how aggressively you play,
and luck with a string of monsters that give good EXP. Most of the time
your result will be around 24.5K EXP/min, approximately.

The Beheader is a very slow, and inaccurate weapon which just happens to
hit really, really hard. Thus, high DEX is needed to prevent MOST of
the misses on Red Bones and Wights. It does not need a lot of STR to
hit hard. I went with the minimum STR 70 which will support using the
Bull Helmet so I could get as high an AGI as possible to take advantage
of the Speed Skill and hit as fast as possible. Much slower and I would
quickly get bored with playing. LUCK 76 seems to be the magic number that
eliminates ALMOST all of the critical hits from Red Bones. There will
occasionally(not often) still be a critical hit from a Red, especially
when there are 2-3 on you. There will rarely be multiple back-to-back
critical hits, although I have seen them once or twice. LUCK 76 is a
noticeable improvement over LUCK 75.

The Sand Cutter will have about the same performance as the Beheader
with this build. However, these stats are optimized for the Beheader,
and the Sand Cutter can perform better with the following build.

Equipment:
Bull Helmet, Amethyst Ring,
Warlord Plate, Leather Gloves,
Sand Cutter, Steel Shield,
Terranite Legs, Heart of Isis,
and Warlord Boots.

Lvl STR AGI VIT INT DEX LUCK
102 80+10 82+1 50 1 52+1 76
With Sand Cutter:
Att Def %Acrcy %Evd %Crit AttDel WlkDel Damage/Sec(DPS)
336 110 143 193 46 304 133 1105

This build will give you about 25K-26K+ EXP/min, again depending on luck,
and how aggressive your style of play happens to be. In other words, how
much time you waste running from target to target, and how much retreating
and regrouping when they suddenly gang up on you. I am able to sustain about
25.5k EXP/min. Don't get hung up about the DPS(1105) being lower than the
DPS(1218) of the Beheader build above. There are a lot of cases where the
DPS is not an accurate indicator of performance, but usually it is a good
indicator of the relative merit of a similar set of stats(same equipment,
Focus Skill, and purpose for the stat). Don't ask me why, or what factors
affect this because I really don't know the details of how this DPS is
calculated. Obviously, the actual DPS you get in battle will change for
each type of monster you are fighting.

Now for the BIG question...how can I get away with using the minimum VIT 50
in the CRYPT, with those big, bad Red Bones. This is the minimum VIT required
to use the Bull Helmet, and I would not go lower anyway. These builds seem
to be surprisingly robust healthwise. Some due to the high LUCK which adds
Lucky Dodges, and high AGI which adds to evade. Also, killing rather quickly
gives each monster less time to make a meal of you. The %critical hits of the
Sand Cutter build certainly doesn't hurt.

These builds will handle 3 monsters on you without too much danger, as long
as you keep an eye on your HP. These monsters can still hit hard, but even
with three Reds, sometimes I don't need food items at all - and sometimes
need two Beers and an Apple. I will almost always take on three at a time,
but four is a challenge, even four Wights. If you already have three attacking
you, and you see more on the way, beware. It can be survivable, but sometimes
barely.

These are good stats for solo farming in the crypt!

I would still urge you to come to the Keshlam Swamp if your main goal is to level up, however. With a capable group, you can easily get 100+k exp/min consistently at your level. The downside is that you won't get many drops in groups, and that the swamp is a money sink. So if you want to make GP while gaining decent exp, the swamp is not the place to go. Farming alone there is also mostly a waste of time.

I am ready for the swamp, even have 2000 keys. The problem is that it will take me some time to change over from my crypt build to my swamp one after I have found help entering the swamp. Players may not want to wait on me while I get ready. But I plan on getting to lvl 103 today, so I will not be swamping quite yet. I tested out stats that will let me fight alone in the swamp, but they may end up being too slow to suit me...I will just have to try it out and see. I can always go back to the crypt if I need to.

Good luck getting to level 103 today :) most of the time, there are people available (like me) to help you on your quest to go to the swamp. Swamping alone is possible, but it's highly advised to fight in a group to get the most out of your time and potions/healing items.

Whenever you are ready, I (and likely some others as well) can help! You can always whisper me in-game.
