I think I would re-seed Treasure Hunt quest and let players to have some fun on weekend, trying to find another treasure.
Tentatively,
It would be set to run on somewhere tomorrow (Sunday).
I would reduce search area, making treasure easier to find.
Quest difficulty (mobs spawns) would also be tuned down, to see if >1 digger could try digging on site while "helpers" fend off mobs and whether its survivable like that.
Ofc this time reward would be different - and "collateral" booty will be smaller, since treasure would be easier to find.
NB: even if you've not got shovel or map - do not fret, and try to join "defenders" team, last time some players got bags full of shiny "collateral" booty like that.
Mobs spawns are far less intense so ppl can even try digging >1 spot at once with good "defenders" team.
Collateral booty reduced since now task is easier.
In progress - treasure hunters started to come but haven't yet located treasure.
UPD: Treasure has been found. After hours of digging ... luck finally shined to most persistent digger of TMW, qu1que.
This time pirates were hiding Pirate Bandana! Oh, qu1que even managed to grab some "collateral" in process - and even got another rare drop (Captain Hat) - as actual drop from pirates.
Finnally the area to dig was between (97,71) and (101,90), and treasure was exactly on the center of that rectangle (99,80). Over 8 hours digging... but the prices were great!
Thanks to all who helped me and defend me from the attack of all kind of monsters
This time I managed to make some screenies (though from 2nd attempt, on 1st attempt pirates unfortunately prevailed)
By that moment some ppl tired - but qu1que been persistent, unstoppable - and eventually found right spot. I almost missed that moment myself - but "almost" doesn't counts.
1) Treasure spot found - contenders arrival (pirates).
2) After some trial and error pirates were finally dispatched and qu1que manages to get his hard earned reward.
(timing of automatoc global announce is funny, it arrived literally few seconds after treasure claimed)
