Adjusted the ice cave tileset a bit

Post by Nickman »

Hi, I'm new to this game and to the forum, actually, this is my first post :).
I was wondering around in the ice cave (you probably know better than me where it is located :D) and I noticed the ground tile wasn't looking as it should... I could see where it started and where it ended, so I decided to try and change it a bit and it looked a little better in my eyes :).

I also made two extra tiles with a very basic "crack" in it to get some more difference into the ground tile.

I made some pictures of the result, and also so you could see te difference.

First the difference between my altered tile (left) and the original one:

Then I made a little test map with my new "crack" tiles:

And if you would like I uploaded the altered tileset:

I hope I didn't brake any rules by altering them or posting this because I didn't find anything that would make this agains the rules?

Tell me what you think :).

Good work.

I wish more people would care about such small and easy to fix problems that annoy you as a player but you stop noticing as a developer after some time.

At the moment there is noone who feels responsible for this tileset after i created it by taking the default cave tileset and changing the colors. Maybe you would like to continue to improve it?

Cool :).
I'll place this new one in my folder and see if there are more small thinks that I might improve.

I suck at making drawings, but things like this I can do, and I like to do them so ;).

Thanks for the feedback!

Tileset improvement is always open for discussion and further development.

This also applies to everything that the end user will see.

Made some more alternations to the outline border which was also a bit repetative.

Left is "old" richt is "new".

Only the bottom bordors have changed, they are thinner, less bordered and less repetative.
Tell me what you think ;).

Here is the tileset:

Very nicely done! The improved tile-sets are clearly superior. If you could continue around the left, right, and top, you would save developers lots of time. Players too, because they can look at nicer tiles. :)
