TMW 'LoFi'

Post by Amethyst »

I thought of a good idea for older computers with less memory, why not create a 'lofi' version of TMW? By lofi I mean that rather than the current graphics we but 8bit - 16bit versions of the current sprites in the lofi version so that the game coul d run faster on things such as Xubuntu, Windows - Windows98, Amiga, etc.

Btw, could I test this idea out by fooling around with the source code?

It's an open source game. You are free to download the source and change it in any way you want. When you want to create a high performance fork of tmw you are free to do so.

Just remember that you have to publish the changed sourcecode when you offer it in compiled form.
  • former Manasource Programmer
  • former TMW Pixel artist
  • NOT a game master

Please do not send me any inquiries regarding player accounts on TMW.

You might have heard a certain rumor about me. This rumor is completely false. You might also have heard the other rumor about me. This rumor is 100% accurate.
