Try with some proxy? Don't know how Chinese internet access works and if it would allow you to use external proxies

If you can access this forum you should be able to access the game server as well (since both of them are running on the same site). Try telneting to the following ports on host server.themanaworld.org: 5122, 6122 and 6901.

I am in China too , and I am using the china telecom network. It works quite well expect sometimes has quit serious delays...
If you are using the china education network you may have to use some proxy server.
But I don't think it's a good way,because the connection is not very good.
