What is this for, Casting spells? (like a spinning circle under the player during spell casting, or what?) :?:

A semi transparent beam of light that fades away as it gets higher (with the color and symbol of the element) might make a nice effect!

Uhm... what is this? If it's a concept for the casting menu, we already have concept drawings of that. If it's meant as a casting menu to use in-game I'd suggest to wait with drawing a thing like that until we know what should be in it. Maybe even we'll draw it real time instead of using a set of sprites. So it can have different numbers of options.

It looks strange because the perspective is wrong. The view angle is too flat. The horizontal:vertical aspect ratio of the circle is about 0.4:1. It should be about 0.7:1 (sin 45° would be perfect). Besides that I really like the filter effect. But it is still not clear for what purpose this "ring" could be used.

Please do not send me any inquiries regarding player accounts on TMW.

You might have heard a certain rumor about me. This rumor is completely false. You might also have heard the other rumor about me. This rumor is 100% accurate.

I would suggest use them to indicate where the boss monster is going to appear as a interesting detail, nothing magic yet.

A protection ring, a summoning spot... or something else...

Perhaps you should add a symbol to the center when the circle has alignment to a specific force/god/creature, such as a pentagram. By the way, call me a noob, but how do you post pictures? The faq page said to post them elsewhere and create links, but I do not know where to do so.

I did have a mock in game image like the previous but PSP crashed. (as ever.)

You need to get your self some photo storage at some where like photobucket or imageshack.
When you have upload the images to your chosen host then they should give you a link to the image which you can use to post them on forums and stuff.
(Images need Image tags around there url.)
