Looks nice so far. Already trying animating it?

But please don't use Jpeg for pixel art. No matter how high you set the quality you will always have artefacts that destroy your image.

The best format for pixel art is PNG with 32 bit color depth. When you are using a program that can't handle PNG then use GIF (only works properly when you use less than 256 colors and the program supports optimized palettes. Otherwise the program will distort the colors or add dithering). Use BMP when you have to but never use an image format with lossy compression.
  • former Manasource Programmer
  • former TMW Pixel artist
  • NOT a game master

Please do not send me any inquiries regarding player accounts on TMW.

You might have heard a certain rumor about me. This rumor is completely false. You might also have heard the other rumor about me. This rumor is 100% accurate.

I think he should bend his arm while attaking.

What if the arm shorten as it drop to give it a 3D feel? Instead of moving up and down.

Its looking good. Have you thought about a name for it? "Alien" would work, but its a bit too generic. Something more exotic is definitely needed in the game (for both sprites and monster names).
