On their own, they look really quite cool. However, there's a couple of issues. First off, the big ones are a bit too big; item sprite dimensions are to be 32x32. Secondly, they don't really match the graphic style we're going for; for a couple examples, read through these two threads:
http://themanaworld.sourceforge.net/php ... .php?t=323
http://themanaworld.sourceforge.net/php ... .php?t=189
The style is based on the old school Secret of Mana/Chrono Trigger feel, so graphics should be of that same type (although, of course, technological advancements mean we can make ours better than they could; line smoothing, greater variety of colors, and whatnot).

On a little personal note regarding potions, I'd like to see them be translucent. It always bugs me in games when the character is guzzling down all these multicolored potions, that are all completely opaque; winds up looking like paint to me.

They're translucent...
Could be my monitor, but I ran a test in Photoshop, and the translucency is almost imperceptible. And in any case, there's still the graphic style to be considered.

The transparency's much more evident there. Brings out the color of the potions, too.

What program/method are you using to build these?

u have done nice work, but IMO style of this potion isnt match to style of other arts in game. icons IMO should be as usually pixelarts. maybe we should make item description window - something like in Ragnarok Online. What do you think?

Looks like he's using some 3D rendering program to do it with.

Blender, anyone?

They do look neat, though. However, I'm not sure that they fit with the perticular style of the game, myself.
