Particle Effects

Post by Merlin »

Can a script on the current server trigger a particle effect. I don't know if this is possible and would like to know.
Also how are particle effects put on a map?

Computer games don't affect kids, I mean if Pac Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music. Has anybody seen this princess I'm looking for?

No, but it should definitely be made possible. I am just unsure how it should be integrated in the network protocol.

I've written a description on http://wiki.themanaworld.org/index.php/ ... ts_on_maps

I didn't think it would be possible. The scripting for the current server is limited, but would this be easier on the new server?

Didn't realize it was in the wiki. Thanks for point that out to me. Some people have asked why there's no fire in the fireplaces of Dimond's Cove.

Oh, you meant eAthena? Sorry, I overlooked the "current" in your posting. No, it is impossible on eAthena. But on TMWServ we can code a way to trigger effects server-sided. We need this for the magic system anyway.
